In an electrifying event yesterday, the Royal Institute of Great Britain (Ri) brought the magic of science to life for the year 7 and 8 pupils here at Ysgol Treffynnon. As the largest national provider of science shows for schools, the Ri is renowned for its ability to make science engaging, entertaining, and, most importantly, fun.

The Science in Schools show, a hallmark of the Ri, is designed to provide a break from the ordinary school routine and offer children a captivating introduction to the power of science.

The shows were not short of excitement, with every moment filled with experiments, explosions, and hands-on participation by the enthusiastic students. The focus was on exploring energy, energy changes, and the conservation of energy, making complex scientific concepts accessible and entertaining for our students in attendance.

The explosive demonstrations left the students wide-eyed and inspired, as they witnessed the fascinating world of science unfolding before them. The interactive nature of the shows allowed the pupils to actively participate, turning a traditional classroom into a dynamic and engaging learning environment.

But the scientific spectacle didn't end with the school day. In the evening, the Ri hosted a rocket community show for parents and families. The community show was a grand finale, featuring a myriad of demonstrations, audience participation, and, of course, more explosions!
